We are visiting Bologna in October and we will have 2 dinners and 1 lunch. For lunch, I was thinking we can wander around the market, perhaps pick up some Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello, Mortadella, Torta Fritta, and Parmigiano Reggiano, (maybe from Salumeria Simoni) and eat at Osteria del Sole.

I think you can get to Palamino via skyway, however this is a chain (parking in Lasalle Plaza..heated!), as is Capital Grill across the street and Fogo de Chao next door. Chain's aren''t ever very impressive ;) Chambers Kitchen is close, with valet, but I've not had a great meal there in 3 attempts so I will let someone else recommend it.

The Pampered Chef stoneware stuff is actually one of (IMO) the things from Pampered Chef that are really nice. In any case, use it as you would use most any roasting pan. It is not safe for the stovetop, and I don't think it's safe for the broiler either.
